Description

Description

Are you looking for?

  • Flexibility that fits your life, including work-from-home options
  • Paid time off driven by results and well-being, not a fixed number of days
  • A fun, collaborative environment
  • Support for continued learning and career growth
  • A culture based on trust, accountability, and bringing your whole self to work

Are you someone who thrives on bringing strategy to life, keeping complex work moving, and creating a seamless experience for clients? As a Sr. Client Executive, Employee Benefits, you’ll partner closely with Sales Executives who manage large, complex books of business, helping turn their client and account strategies into action. You’ll coordinate annual service plans and renewals, bring together the right internal, carrier, and vendor resources, and use financial, claims, funding, compliance, and market insights to help clients make informed decisions. While the Sales Executive owns the overall relationship, growth strategy, and new business goals, you’ll be the key execution partner ensuring plans stay organized, commitments move forward, and clients receive a consistent, high-quality experience.

What's the work like?

You will...

Bring Client Strategy to Life

  • Partner closely with Sales Executives to turn client and account strategy into clear annual service plans, meeting cadences, renewal timelines, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across clients, Sales Executives, Account Managers, carriers, vendors, analysts, and internal specialists to keep complex accounts moving forward.
  • Help lead stewardship, strategy, renewal, open enrollment, and other key client meetings, bringing together meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Understand each client’s business priorities, workforce needs, cost pressures, and emerging risks and help translate them into practical solutions.
  • Keep commitments, decisions, and next steps organized between major client meetings, anticipating roadblocks and driving follow-through.

Lead Renewal and Financial Strategy Execution

  • Own the coordination and execution of the renewal process, from pre-renewal discovery and market submissions through analysis, client decisions, and implementation.
  • Analyze claims experience, plan performance, renewal terms, funding alternatives, stop-loss results, vendor proposals, and cost-containment opportunities to identify meaningful trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and review client-ready financial comparisons, recommendations, renewal presentations, and other strategic deliverables.
  • Coordinate with carriers, underwriters, TPAs, stop-loss partners, captive managers, and other vendors to gather information, respond to questions, and keep work progressing.
  • Participate in carrier and vendor pricing and terms discussions while supporting the Sales Executive’s overall negotiation and relationship strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand existing client relationships and partner with the Sales Executive on appropriate next steps.

Support New Business and Client Transitions

  • Bring your expertise to qualified new business opportunities by supporting discovery, solution design, RFPs, proposals, finalist preparation, and presentations.
  • Review prospect data and benefit programs to identify key considerations, information gaps, and potential market or funding solutions.
  • Help ensure proposals and recommendations are accurate, thoughtful, and supported by strong analysis.
  • Lead the coordination of new client onboarding by translating commitments made during the sales process into an organized implementation and service plan.

Keep Clients Informed and Plans Performing

  • Monitor claims, utilization, financial, service, and vendor performance throughout the year and turn the data into meaningful insights and recommended actions.
  • Coordinate the resolution of complex claims, billing, eligibility, contract, implementation, and vendor issues requiring cross-functional support.
  • Advocate for clients with carriers and vendors and ensure decisions, commitments, and follow-up are clearly documented.
  • Lead open enrollment planning and execution, including timelines, communications, materials, vendor coordination, and client presentations.

Coordinate Teams and Deliver Quality

  • Provide direction and coordination across the account team by establishing priorities, responsibilities, deadlines, and escalation points—even when you don’t have direct supervisory authority.
  • Partner with Account Managers and internal specialists, delegating day-to-day service activities while keeping strategic and complex work moving forward.
  • Keep the Sales Executive informed of significant client concerns, renewal risks, relationship issues, and opportunities requiring their involvement.
  • Review key client deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the account strategy.
  • Apply your working knowledge of employee benefits regulations, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA, while partnering with compliance or legal resources when specialized guidance is needed.
  • Share your expertise through process improvement, technical knowledge sharing, carrier and vendor relationship development, and mentoring less-experienced team members.

Okay, so what’s in it for me?
