Job Overview
The Corporate Banking Summer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for leading the planning of investment strategies and solutions for major market clients in coordination with the Corporate Banking team. The overall objective of this role is to drive revenue by cross selling the Citi platform while efficiently deploying the firm's capital and evaluating and managing risk.

We’re committed to teaching you the ropes. The Summer Analyst Program runs for 10 weeks and begins with initial classroom-based training, followed by ongoing training sessions throughout the length of the program, as well as a series of networking and social events. Incoming Summer Analysts have the opportunity to be considered for a position on the following year’s full-time Analyst Program. 

Your time here will look something like this...
Financial Analysis:
* Assist in conducting in-depth financial analysis of corporate clients, including reviewing financial statements, projections, and industry trends.
* Support the analysis of market and credit data to assess client risk profiles.

Client Coverage Support:
* Assist Relationship Managers (RMs) in preparing client presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
* Conduct industry research to identify potential client opportunities and understand market dynamics.
* Participate in client meetings and calls, observing and contributing where appropriate.

Market Research:
* Research specific industries, companies, and economic trends to identify potential impacts on client portfolios.
* Stay updated on relevant financial news, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.

Credit & Risk Management:
* Support the credit underwriting process by gathering documentation and performing preliminary risk assessments.
* Assist in preparing credit memos and reports for internal approvals.
* Learn about various credit products and risk mitigation strategies.

Citi’s Corporate Bank is a leading provider of financial services to top-tier multi-national clients around the globe, serving the financial needs of the world's preeminent corporations and financial institutions. The Corporate group advises corporate clients who want to raise funds in capital markets and who need strategic support in financial transactions. Initiatives you may be working on with clients include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, underwriting, and distributing equity, debt, and derivative securities. 

As a Summer Analyst, you will join an intensive ten-week program where you will receive in-depth education on a variety of these topics to learn the fundamentals of the Analyst role and introduce you to Citi’s culture.
