Director of Talent Acquisition, APAC
About the Role
The Director of Talent Acquisition, APAC, leads a multi-country team responsible for end-to-end hiring across engineering and manufacturing in Asia Pacific (India, Thailand, Philippines, China, Taiwan). This leader brings regional coherence and operational consistency to the way ADI evaluates and attracts talent, while serving as the primary voice of the APAC talent function to global HR and executive leaders. In addition to managing the full spectrum of hiring activity, this role is tasked with building out university partnerships, supporting the promotions process, and shaping a three-to-five year talent strategy for the region. Success means both delivering on hiring goals and elevating the broader workforce strategy across a complex, post-acquisition environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Talent Leadership: Direct and coach talent acquisition teams across APAC countries, ensuring operational excellence and unified ways of working.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for APAC talent to global HR, regional executives, and senior country leadership.
- Talent Frameworks & Evaluation: Drive consistency in how talent is assessed and selected, building frameworks that support business needs and enable mobility.
- University Partnerships: Formalize and expand relationships with key higher education institutions to build long-term hiring pipelines.
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with APAC business and HR leaders to develop and implement a three-to-five-year regional talent strategy.
- Promotions Process & Talent Programs: Collaborate on the design and delivery of promotions, talent review, and workforce programs.
- Cross-Cultural Integration: Foster collaboration and shared standards in a region shaped by acquisitions and diverse legacy cultures.
- Operational Excellence: Land global TA standards locally, ensuring managers experience a common ADI approach to hiring across all APAC countries.
Must Have Skills
- Multi-country Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing TA teams spanning multiple countries and cultures.
- Stakeholder Management & Negotiation: Skilled in building trust and negotiating with senior leaders across countries and functions.
- Talent Framework Design: Track record of designing and deploying scalable talent evaluation and selection frameworks.
- University/External Partnerships: Experience formalizing and growing higher-ed partnerships to support talent pipelines.
- Collaboration & Influence: An effective collaborator who can unify stakeholders and drive alignment in complex, matrixed environments.
- Change Leadership: Comfortable leading through ambiguity and integration, especially post-acquisition.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting both engineering and manufacturing talent needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with APAC labor markets and regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
