POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk maintains accurate inventory of raw material. In all actions, supports Sonaca North America’s Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other Company policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate raw material inventory records within SAP, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
- Process and document all raw material receipts, transfers, and issues in SAP.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy between physical stock and SAP system records.
- Perform monthly cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory counts.
- Research, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and transaction errors.
- Analyze inventory adjustments and identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability for scheduled manufacturing jobs.
- Review production schedules and verify that all materials required for upcoming jobs are available and properly staged.
- Communicate potential material shortages or inventory concerns to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
- Ensure materials are organized, labeled, and stored according to company standards and warehouse procedures.
- Support Raw Material Handlers by ensuring materials are available and ready for picking based on production requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation and records in compliance with company policies.
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements within the warehouse environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Must possess superior attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Strong communication (verbal) and interpersonal skills are required
- Preferred experience with SAP for managing materials receipt and distribution
- Operating in an AS9100 or ISO9000 quality management system
- Must have a demonstrated and verifiable attendance record
- Must be flexible and willing to handle other duties as assigned
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. International Traffic in Arms Regulation/Export Administration Regulations (ITAR/EAR) clearance is required
- Must be able to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Must be a Self-Motivated individual that can stay on task for long periods of time
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
- High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.
- 1+ years of experience that is related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Must have the ability to identify problems and execute solutions
- Must understand and abide by all confidentiality regulations within the company
- Effective use of a computer keyboard and software
- Effective use of telephone and other applicable electronic communication equipment
- View and read documents, and computer monitors
- Verbal communication with team members and management
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
- May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
