About the Role
Availity is seeking a Director, Product Management – Core Solutions to lead a portfolio of foundational products and capabilities that have powered the healthcare ecosystem for more than 25 years. This leader will be responsible for driving the strategy, execution, modernization, and operational excellence of Availity's established solutions, including Availity Essentials, Essentials Pro, administrative and clinical connectivity products, and other core platform capabilities relied upon by health plans, providers, and partners every day.
This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of stability and innovation. Success requires balancing reliability, predictability, and disciplined delivery with continuous modernization and thoughtful innovation that advances Availity's vision for the next generation of healthcare connectivity.
The Director will lead product managers responsible for critical, high-scale solutions and will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, Commercial teams, Customer Experience, and executive leadership to deliver efficient, unified, world-class experiences that customers trust to run their businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
Define and execute the product strategy for Availity's Core Solutions portfolio.
Establish a clear modernization roadmap that enhances customer value while maintaining operational excellence and platform stability.
Balance customer needs, business priorities, regulatory requirements, and technical investments across a mature portfolio.
Identify opportunities to simplify experiences, consolidate capabilities, and create a more unified customer journey across products.
Drive strategic decisions that strengthen Availity's position as the industry's trusted healthcare connectivity platform.
Execution Excellence
Lead planning, prioritization, and delivery processes across multiple product teams.
Create a culture of disciplined execution with predictable outcomes, measurable results, and operational rigor.
Establish clear objectives, success measures, and performance metrics for products and teams.
Ensure delivery commitments are achieved while maintaining high quality, reliability, scalability, and security standards.
Use data, customer insights, and market intelligence to guide product investments and tradeoff decisions.
Customer Experience & Innovation
Champion seamless, efficient, and world-class user experiences across the Core Solutions portfolio.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce friction, improve usability, and increase customer satisfaction.
Partner closely with customers and stakeholders to understand evolving market needs and emerging opportunities.
Introduce innovation thoughtfully and responsibly within established products without compromising trust, stability, or operational performance.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, APIs, platform services, and emerging technologies to improve customer outcomes.
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers and product leaders.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, customer centricity, and outcomes.
Build strong partnerships across Engineering, UX, Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership teams.
Elevate product management maturity through best practices in discovery, prioritization, roadmap management, and outcome measurement.
Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leadership.
Business & Operational Ownership
Manage portfolio performance through business metrics, customer outcomes, adoption, retention, and operational KPIs.
Develop business cases and investment recommendations for modernization and growth initiatives.
Ensure products remain compliant with evolving healthcare regulations and industry standards.
Drive operational improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and customer value.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in US healthcare leading product teams and managers.
Proven experience managing mature, enterprise-scale products with large customer bases and high operational complexity.
Demonstrated success balancing product innovation with stability, reliability, and operational excellence.
Strong background in platform, enterprise software, healthcare technology, or connectivity solutions.
Experience leading cross-functional teams through large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
Track record of delivering measurable business and customer outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare technology, payer-provider connectivity, revenue cycle, clinical interoperability, or related healthcare domains.
Familiarity with healthcare transactions, administrative workflows, clinical data exchange, APIs, and interoperability standards.
Experience managing platform products, ecosystem products, or network-based businesses.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
