About the Role:
The Technician II, Facilities supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of our facilities, including laboratory and office environments. This hands-on role responds to facilities service requests, performs general building maintenance and repairs, supports employee and laboratory relocations, and assists with special projects.The ideal candidate is proactive, service-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently across a variety of facilities needs.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
- Respond to facilities service requests in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service and communication
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, painting, drywall, and carpentry
- Install, repair, and maintain furniture, fixtures, and equipment in laboratory and office spaces
- Support employee and laboratory moves, relocations, and workspace reconfigurations
- Assist with facilities projects, including space commissioning/decommissioning, storage and inventory, and new service installations
- Perform routine building inspections to identify maintenance, operational, and safety concerns and coordinate solutions with the appropriate teams
- Monitor, order, and deliver laboratory gases
- Assist with conference room and corporate event setups
- Support basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, including incubators and freezers, as needed
- Coordinate with outside vendors for supplies, equipment, and facilities services
- Support Facilities and EHS initiatives and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or Associate degree and 2+ years of related facilities, building maintenance, or technical experience; biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Equivalent training or certifications may also be considered
- Valid driver’s license
- Hands-on experience with basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, painting/drywall, and general building repairs
- Experience with furniture installation and repair
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Knowledge of general building, fire prevention, electrical, hazardous materials, and laboratory safety practices
- Knowledge of maintenance and environmental standards
- Familiarity with laboratory gas systems and equipment
- Laboratory equipment troubleshooting and/or repair experience is preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently complete work with attention to detail
- Collaborative, proactive approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team

The hourly rate we reasonably expect to pay is $23.42-$31.92. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 15% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
