Description
Sandusky County drivers: one food customer, preloaded trailers, the same lanes every week, and home weekly.
Got your CDL-A and no experience? You can start here.
Questions new drivers ask us
- “Is it the same freight every week?” Yes. One customer, familiar lanes, mostly Ohio, Illinois and Iowa.
- “Do I have to touch the freight?” Trailers are preloaded and you drop and hook at most deliveries.
- “Will getting to orientation cost me money?” No. The hotel is covered and your one way bus ticket is reimbursed.
- “How often am I home?” Every week, for a 34 hour reset.
Your paycheck
- $1,400 average per week
- $0.60 per mile to start, rising to $0.70 with experience
- $25 for each extra stop
- $850 a week while you train
- About 2,200 miles weekly
Your first six weeks
It starts with a phone call. Our recruiter checks your license and record with you up front. Orientation is in Columbus, takes 2 days at most, and pays $300 once you are hired. Then 4 to 6 weeks on the road with a trainer beside you while you learn backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. Then the truck is yours.
Good to know
Some loads run to Georgia and back. Cold weather driving and changing routes come with the territory. Day and night dispatches.
