What you’ll do:

  • Support turnaround kick-off activities, 18-month Plan-to-Plan milestones, turnaround planning initiatives, stage gate reviews, and required approvals to ensure alignment with the execution plan.
  • Facilitate Turnaround Execution Team meetings to review scopes and schedules, assign and track action items, integrate operations, maintenance, and construction work plans, and ensure milestone and turnover (MOC) requirements are met.
  • Support contractor selection, approval and engagement; establish contractor requirements; and confirm required resources (people, equipment, and third-party services) are approved, available, and scheduled.
  • Audit work packages with planners, schedulers, and coordinators; support development of cleaning procedures, permitting strategies, equipment utilization plans, asset integrity reviews, and risk mitigation plans to enable safe and efficient execution.
  • Coordinate break-in and emergent work with key stakeholders, review the master execution schedule, and participate in post-turnaround contractor reviews and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
  • Lead contractor and support service mobilization and oversee execution of the turnaround event.
  • Manage the turnaround schedule, duration, execution plans, costs, and critical path.
  • Maintain shift update reports to ensure effective turnover and coordination with night shift counterparts.
  • Report and support evaluation of late or found work requests in alignment with the Late Work/Found Work process.
  • Lead turnaround close-out activities and support post-event reporting and handover.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in turnaround and maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution, including demonstrated leadership experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Trade certification, Steam ticket, engineering qualification, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, with proven experience in maintenance standard processes and optimization initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and project management principles, paired with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites as required.

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
