Bonneville County is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Data Processing Clerk II to support the County's property assessment, tax roll, and data processing operations. This position performs a variety of computer operations, data entry, auditing, and clerical duties to help maintain accurate and reliable County records, including processing homeowner exemptions, updating property assessment and tax information, and reviewing documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Perform daily audits of data entry projects to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
Review homeowner exemption applications and verify applicant eligibility before entering information into the County's data processing systems.
Enter and update property assessment and tax roll information for residential, commercial, agricultural, personal property, and other valuation categories.
Process changes affecting property valuations, tax assessments, parcel numbers, property addresses, code areas, and ownership records.
Review supporting documentation to ensure property record changes are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
Balance property valuation updates resulting from daily changes and investigate discrepancies as needed.
Generate reports for review and approval by appraisers and technical specialists, and finalize data after approval.
Assist with the preparation and mailing of property assessment and tax notices.
Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy records and perform filing and other routine clerical duties as needed.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and other County offices to support accurate information processing and efficient departmental operations.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance and consistent work performance in accordance with Bonneville County expectations.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent, plus one (1) year of specialized training obtained through in-service training, professionally sponsored workshops, seminars, or similar programs; AND
Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience performing the above or related duties.

An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge or ability in:
Computer operations and data processing methods, procedures, and standards
Data entry accuracy, record maintenance, and documentation procedures
Office management practices and routine clerical functions
Data communication concepts and basic computer equipment maintenance
Reviewing information, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records
Understanding the relationships and functions of various County offices
Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing
Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with department heads, coworkers, and members of the public
Working independently, prioritizing assignments, and meeting established deadlines
Managing workload-related stress while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and professionalism

Work Environment
Work is performed in a typical climate-controlled office environment. Duties involve computer use, data entry, reviewing documents, filing records, and other routine office activities.
The position requires sitting, reaching, mobility, talking, hearing, seeing, and the use of hand and finger dexterity. Mental demands include attention to detail, memory, following verbal and written instructions, critical thinking, emotional stability, and guided problem-solving.
Heavy lifting is not typically required; however, employees may occasionally need to lift or move light items such as boxes or files.
