Description
We are currently recruiting a TEMPORARY Human Resources Coordinator to work at our Reston, VA office. (Ability to work a hybrid/remote schedule once established with the team.) This individual will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR team and operations management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, and employment law compliance.
Nature and Scope of Work:
- Supports on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees.
- Provides exceptional customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Performs monthly benefits invoice reconciliation.
- Assists with charitable match and training/tuition reimbursements.
- Maintains employee records and compiles reports from Paycom.
- Provides written and verbal employment verifications.
- Assists HR Team with compliance reporting, metrics, and document management.
- Helps to coordinate Employee events (Monthly Orientations, October Open House and December Employee Recognition Event).
- Other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree and zero to three years of HR experience, or one plus years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft environment.
- Paycom or other previous HRIS experience

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, paper shredders, and smartphones. Partial remote work may be available after the training period ends.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a temporary, full-time 30-40 hours per week position from September 1-January 31. Days of work are Monday through Friday, with some flexibility. Must be available on December 5th to work an employee event.
Travel:
Little to no travel is expected for this position.
The hourly, non-exempt pay range for this position (30-40 hours per week) will be $25.00-$35.00, based on experience
