Responsibilities
As a Senior Program Manager with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Perform daily management and control over diverse projects.
- Manage operations, development, and training content development requirements.
- Prepare written and oral status reports on schedule, budget, and performance.
- Ensure completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
- Contribute to the performance and success of America’s warfighters through a program focused on Distance Learning (DL).
- Ensure the Government’s priorities and requirements are reflected and supported in all projects and initiatives undertaken by our Navy customer.
- Formulate and enforce work standards, assign schedules, review work discrepancies, supervise personnel, and communicate the policies, purposes and goals of the organization to subordinates.
- Anticipate and mitigate problems.
- Interact with Government management personnel.
- Coordinate and lead internal meetings to the contractor team and external meetings with Government stakeholders.
THIS HYBRID POSITION REQUIRES 3 DAYS OF WORK IN THE OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE PER WEEK
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
- Masters Degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing technology and/or training programs for the DoD.
- A minimum of 5 years of the experience must be in managing complex technical contract efforts to include content Development and maintenance projects for training programs.
- MS degree in Engineering, Instructional, or Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Experience and competency with MS Project and managing complex schedules and resourcing.
- Demonstrated experience with change and scope management.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
