Pay Range
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
At Johns Manville, our Production Superintendent is a critical leadership role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for leading production teams in a 24-hour manufacturing environment, driving performance, developing employees, and achieving operational excellence across safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.

Your Day-to-Day:
- Lead daily manufacturing operations, product quality, and raw material management across multiple production lines.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work activities to maximize equipment utilization and operational efficiency.
- Monitor operational metrics and performance indicators, including labor utilization, material usage, machine downtime, and production costs.
- Partner with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement sustainable process enhancements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing, process, and personnel challenges while implementing corrective actions.
- Lead and develop Production Supervisors and their teams, promoting safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work activities to maximize equipment utilization and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team, working closely with engineering, maintenance, and other teams to run production and solve problems
- Collaborate with plant leadership and corporate leadership to support strategic goals and operational excellence.
- Coach and mentor employees, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and growth
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree in management, engineering or relevant field with a minimum of 5 years operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proven ability to diagnose solve process issues
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work partner with Plant Leadership team
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement continuous improvement
- Working knowledge and understanding of SAP or ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Manages a staff of 110+ hourly employees and 4 salaried supervisors, setting direction and deploys resources. Responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring, and terminating.
- May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds
- Minimal travel required 0 – 10 days per year
- Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust mist gas fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.
