Entry-Level position

Hudson Valley magazine is seeking an energetic, organized and results oriented Inside Sales Representative to join its advertising sales team.

The position will have responsibility for monetizing targeted prospect lists including Top Doctors, Top Dentists, Top Lawyers, Top Realtors and annual Giving Guide.

This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys communicating with people, is comfortable making outbound calls, thrives in a goal-oriented environment, and is interested in building a career in media, advertising, and sales.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound telephone and email prospecting to assigned advertising lists.
• Sell list advertising into 5 annual LIST guides in Hudson Valley Magazine – Lawyers, Doctors, Real Estate Professionals, Dentists, Giving Guide
• Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
• Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and sales information within the company’s CRM 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Sales and/or customer service experience 
• Strong telephone and written communication skills.

Compensation Structure

This role is commission-based with a base salary.

• Commission on direct sales – 20%
• Monthly salary - $2,500

Inside Sales Monthly Expected Activity

300–400 outbound calls

400–500 targeted emails

Estimated Revenue

Target goal of $15,000 per month once fully ramped, recognizing that revenue will fluctuate as to the timing of list sales. Projected Y1 revenue of $150,000.
