Description
We are seeking Medical Receptionists for a busy, multi-physician ophthalmology practice serving the greater Havertown and Media communities, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and teamwork. Key highlights for this position:
- Full-time, non-exempt (up to 40 hours per week)
- Monday–Friday, four days working 8am-5pm and one day working 12pm-8pm
- Flexibility to travel to both their Havertown and Media offices (sometimes both in one day)
- Starting salary: $18 per hour or higher, depending on experience
- Experience with Modernizing Medicine EMR software is highly preferred
- Confidently handle front desk and technical duties
- Work well as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls in a professional, courteous manner
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the calendar efficiently
- Address patient questions regarding services and procedures
- Assist with billing inquiries and insurance verification
- Show empathy and understanding when addressing patient needs and concerns
- Work cooperatively with team members across various departments
- Manage a high patient volume and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Embrace learning on the job, ask questions, and accept constructive feedback
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting salary: $18/hour or higher depending on experience

The Team:
The receptionist will work alongside a diverse group of professionals, including physicians, billing specialists, technicians and scribes, optical staff, administrative assistants, and managers. All necessary training and support will be provided.
