Spa Supervisor

The Spa Supervisor provides a professional service for our guests while acting as a model that our Spa team follows. The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Spa facility, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Leads a team of spa staff, coordinates schedule and assists in developing and implementing strategies to enhance our guest’s satisfaction and maximize revenue. The general responsibilities include monitoring stock, promoting the different lines of products and spa services to our guests. Duties that the Spa Supervisor excels at are listed below.  
 

         Duties/Responsibilities:

 

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the spa staff including spa therapists, (or any other spa service provider) receptionists, and attendants.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, and services standards to maintain consistency and quality of service.
• Train and motivate spa staff to deliver exceptional guest service, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Monitor and manage spa bookings, schedules and inventory to optimize resource utilization and maximize revenue.
• Address guest inquires, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented spa environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of promotional activities, marketing initiatives, and sales strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to spa staff, recognizing achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments in the Resort to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Stay informed about industry trends, new treatments and products, making recommendations for enhancements to the spa menu and services.
• If needed, perform Spa treatments using proper protocols and implement retail product sales procedures.
• Monitor therapist’s retail targets and make sure the team achieves their individual sales and services targets.
• Follow all rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook and always show a positive attitude, pleasant and helpful attitude.
• If unable to report for work, contact the Spa Director at least 4 hours prior to scheduled work time.
• Always conduct self in a professional manner as to reflect the high standards of Peter Island Resort.
• Creates a positive first impression to the guest by greeting them in a warm and friendly manner.
• Report to work neatly groomed and in a clean uniform at scheduled time. Adherence to established dress code. Hygiene standards to include nails clean and trimmed, clean uniform with name badge, long hair pulled back off the face, no watches, rings on hands, small earrings only, soft white shoes or neat, clean sandals (no sneakers).
• Attend all trainings classes and spa meetings.
• Greet and welcome guests by name; make them feel warm and comfortable.
• Knowledge and compliance of Health Department Sanitation requirements. Disinfect equipment and sanitize instruments before each use. Daily clean up of work area including table floor, cabinets, sink and countertops.
• Promote all treatments, products, services and retail items offered by Peter Island Resort Spa.
• Promote and sell retail products; maintain retail sales goals.
• Possess the skills required to use the equipment and product lines used at Peter Island Resort Spa.
• Keep to time allotted for each appointment, always being aware of changes between each appointment by rechecking daily schedule after each treatment.
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time. Must have complete range of motion, no physical limitations restricting movement.
