Location – Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid, 50% office based)

Hours - Full-time – 12 Months FTC

In this role, you will:

· Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of governance and internal control frameworks across multiple European markets.

· Partner with finance, operational and leadership teams to strengthen risk management and financial compliance practices

· Drive meaningful change through finance transformation, process improvement and governance initiatives

· Collaborate with auditors and stakeholders to identify risks, remediate control gaps and ensure compliance.

· Help develop a culture of ownership through training, awareness programmes and governance best practices.

The team

Reporting to the Director of Governance & Control, you will work across Mars Veterinary Health Europe in a multi-country environment. You'll collaborate with central and local finance teams, business controllers and support functions to ensure robust governance frameworks are embedded throughout the organisation. The team supports both day-to-day control operations and strategic projects that drive long-term business excellence

What we’re looking for

We're seeking a governance and controls professional who is passionate about risk management, continuous improvement and driving high standards of financial compliance.

· Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA or CIA are highly desirable.

· Minimum five years' experience in finance, accounting, internal audit or internal controls

· Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, financial regulations and accounting standards.

· Experience conducting control testing, risk assessments, policy implementation and remediation planning.

· Strong analytical and documentation skills, including advanced Excel capabilities. Experience with ERP systems is essential, whilst Power BI and Monday.com experience would be advantageous
