Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time NYS Licensed Patrol Readiness in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring, reliable team that puts people first, responds with integrity, and supports a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing government-operated services by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation; communicate observations and relevant information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
