As an Inventory Control Lead team member at Smithfield Foods, you’ll play a key role in supporting accurate inventory management and efficient warehouse operations. Your attention to detail, leadership, and strong work ethic will help ensure our products are properly tracked, handled safely, and delivered on time.

What You’ll Do
Inventory Control Leads will support the Inventory Control Manager by performing daily inventory activities and assisting with inventory accuracy throughout the facility. Leads will perform inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and batch/code corrections, while also responding to internal customer inquiries related to inventory issues.
Leads will support the training and development of employees to understand inventory processes and systems.
Inventory Leads must be able to work their scheduled shifts and may be required to work overtime depending on business needs.

Applicants must be willing and able to:
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, reaching, and handling materials
Stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to a 12-hour shift
Work in a warehouse environment that may include temperature changes and varying conditions
Operate or work around warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
Work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, or hearing protection
Work in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment
Bend, stoop, and twist throughout the course of an entire shift
Lift objects weighting up to 60 lobs., with or without assistance
This work is physically demanding and may require the use of multiple muscle groups and repetitive motion throughout the shift. Some tasks may require lifting, carrying, or moving materials either manually or with mechanical assistance.
