About Role
Staff Accountant
We are looking for a highly motivated staff accountant to join our US Finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by performing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. This position will require you to have a broad understanding of basic accounting principles, great attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, and excellent communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily cash transactions across multiple bank accounts
- Process and record employee T&E expenses, ensuring proper coding and ledger reconciliation
- Monitor, process, and accurately post AP card expenses to appropriate GL accounts
- Record various journal entries and assist in maintaining the general ledger
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare financial reports and schedules as needed
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Assist in other accounting projects which includes cross collaboration with other teams in the Finance Department and help evolving our processes
- Manage workload efficiently by organizing, prioritizing, and executing tasks in a timely and high-quality manner
- Represent the Finance team with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
- CPA preferred or desire to obtain CPA license
- Understanding of Accounting and Financial Reporting principles and practices
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- A strong sense of urgency, with the ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Solid analytical acumen
- Legally authorized to work in the US
