Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant exterior facility operations. This role involves operating and inspecting heavy machinery, performing seasonal maintenance including snow and ice management, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. The technician supports cost control through effective resource management and collaborates with management and third-party providers to uphold quality standards. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to address facility needs and deliver reliable service while fostering a safe and productive work environment.

What you'll do:
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational and safety requirements.
- Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure readiness and compliance.
- Coordinate purchases of parts, equipment, and supplies while controlling costs and verifying warranty claims.
- Lead and develop third-party providers and associates through coaching and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies, promoting a safe and ethical work environment.
What you'll bring:
- Valid DOT Certification and demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and light repair to ensure operational readiness.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with management, third-party providers, and facility users.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while leading teams and supporting seasonal exterior maintenance activities.
- Competence in customer service, problem resolution, and adherence to company policies and ethical standards.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
21 years of age or older.Valid state-issued driver’s license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.
Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre- hire.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry

Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and be able to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card, Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area., Experience in third-party management., Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish., State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California, etc).
