Senior Data Strategy Associate
Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is mandated to lead and coordinate international action to protect and assist refugees and other persons of concern (POC).
Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) sits within UNHCR's Division of External Relations (DER) and is responsible for mobilizing resources from the private sector for refugees. UNHCR has developed a Private Sector Fundraising Strategy focusing on both Individual Giving and Private Sector Partnerships, identifying priority fundraising markets and regions.
The Senior Data Strategy Associate will support the PSP unit in the implementation of a variety of tasks related to CRM, Analysis, Strategic Marketing, Digital and Communication providing advice and recommendations related to these areas.
Working closely with PSP Head of Unit and other internal stakeholders, the Snr Data Strategy Associate will also support in overall monitoring of results, as well as with PSP planning.
The Senior Data Strategy Associate will also promote team development, providing effective leadership to enable and motivate the team to operate to their full potential.

Duties
- Contribute to top level service support to fundraising activities in the areas of CRM development, management, and rollout.
- Develop plan for implementation of the digital eco-system and ensuring the integration of digital tools (payment gateways, automated email marketing, analytics, CMS etc…).
- Contribute to sound planning and monitoring of CRM/business application roll-out and usage, including long term roadmap for delivery.
- Support data governance and integrity strategy are in place to guarantee high data quality across the systems
- Identify and carry out due analysis and surveys in order to ensure a data driven approach to strategic decisions through propensity studies, targets and ask identification, churn analysis, as well as through market research, surveys and focus groups.
- Drive improvements in strategic areas and provide strategic consultancy and business advisory to the PSP team.
- Provide to the PSP Head of Unit strategic direction, quality technical support on private sector visibility requirements, to ensure close coordination on private sector communications and engagement.
- Keep the management up to date on key trends, best practices and new fundraising opportunities.
- Create, evaluate, and operate data driven transformation pursuing growth, efficiency and innovation objectives.
- Identify, propose, and develop new revenue streams for both IG and PPH, with new products and new audiences.
- Assist in formulating strategies and plan to digitalize the operation.
- Enhance consistency of digital activities throughout the fundraising operation so that they are aligned with annual objectives and plan.
- Generate ideas and tools addressed at supporting and developing the UNHCR’s brand and awareness of refugee issues, to facilitate the growth in fundraising, the cultivation of new and existing IG and PPH donors, and the development of digital fundraising campaigns.
- Work with marketing agencies to accelerate public engagement and audience growth from digital channels.
- Contribute to strategize lead generation programmes with channels integration to maximize ROI.
- Cooperate to identify innovative ways to recruit and retain supporters via digital channels.
- Ensure UNHCR digital platform is accurate, fundraising friendly, the branding is maintained, and that the messaging, features, and functionality are appropriately presented.
- Optimize the website to increase traffic and online donation.
- Promote UNHCR maximization of the use of other digital channels, and that these tools are integrated where appropriate.
- Supervise staff in line with UNHCR staff performance guidelines and policy.
- Monitor expenditure/budget.
- Support the identification and management of risks and seek to seize opportunities impacting objectives in the area of responsibility. Ensure decision making in risk based in the functional area of work. Raise risks, issues and concerns to a supervisor or to relevant functional colleague(s).

Relevant Job Experience
Essential
Proven understanding and experience in Data Analysis or Business Advisory roles, with substantial experience of presenting insights at Strategic Director Level. Excellent understanding of data analytics, engagement data types and appropriate critical metrics.
High level of expertise in planning, accountability, and performance evaluation, including deep understanding of modelling data and its integration. Minimum of 4 years of experience in CRM and data analysis acquired in the profit or in the not-for-profit sector. Proven ability in planning and monitoring of CRM business application. Good understanding of Salesforce. Ability to produce high quality data analysis, marketing strategies and digital contents. Proven ability to manage staff and financial resources. Experience working with automated marketing platforms including technical setup, CRM Integration, data mapping and data modelling. Experience with digital engagement and supporter growth strategies.
Desirable
Experience working in or for large global decentralized organizations with multiple stakeholders, diverse cultures and levels of digital marketing maturity. Good analytical and conceptual skills and strong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written). Excellent computer skills with reference to Salesforce, fundraising related data, as well as excellent knowledge of word, excel and PowerPoint. A well-developed understanding of strategic implications of fundraising metrics and data.

Desired Candidate Profile
Under the direct supervision of the Associate PSP Operations Officer, the Senior Data Strategy Associate will:
• Lead data analysis and Business Intelligence reporting to support donor acquisition, retention and fundraising performance, and contribute to global analytics initiatives such as Lift Time Value, INDIGO, Crescendo, Propensity Modeling, and others)
• Oversee the management, integrity and security of PSP Korea's donor database, including automated debit/payment processing systems, in compliance with the UNHCR Standard Personal Information Policy and local legislation & regulations related to Personal Information Protection.
• Develop and maintain PSP Korea's Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-based data warehouse, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines and data marts to ensure reliable, structured datasets for fundraising result analysis, reporting and strategic business decision to generate financial resources for UNHCR.
• Establish data governance standards and provide guidance/training/support to staff on the donor database and related data systems.
• Coordinate with HQ data teams and service providers to align PSP Korea's data infrastructure with global initiatives
• Monitor donor and/or user behaviour, fundraising market trends and emerging database/technology solutions to contribution to constant optimization of PSP Korea's data strategy
