Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Panel Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor alarm panels, and communicate professionally with personnel and visitors. You will support a secure environment through attentive observation, prompt reporting, and outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least six months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- This is primarily a driving post.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
