‘What you’ll be responsible for each day:’
The Financial Analyst participates in the preparation of monthly financial reports and the calculation of product costing. The incumbent supports the Operations Analysis Manager in the plant’s operational and financial activities.
- Prepares documents for the analysis of monthly financial results (labor, manufacturing overheads, month-end inventory, raw materials, yields).
- Participates in the development of factory budgets and cost prices, analyzes variances.
- Ensures the updating and compliance of the plant's performance indicators.
- Supports the various departments of the plant in terms of financial requests (analysis of economic projects, monthly reports).
- Performs month-end entries.
- Assists the Controller in operations in the various mandates including the presentation of financial results to the plant manager.
- Participates in improvement projects, and works with the aim of automating, optimizing and harmonizing the tools used.
'The individual who will own this role’
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Accounting
- CPA designation is considered an asset
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and/or in cost accounting
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. English is required to collaborate with colleagues and clients across other Canadian provinces.
