Help Lead the Business Operations Behind an Exceptional Senior Living Experience.
We’re looking for an organized, proactive, and service-minded Business Office Manager to oversee key financial, payroll, HR administrative, and business office functions at [Community Name].

About the Opportunity
The Business Office Manager plays a critical role in the financial and operational success of the community.
Partnering closely with the Executive Director, department leaders, corporate accounting, Human Resources, and operational support teams, you’ll help ensure business office processes are accurate, organized, timely, and aligned with company standards.
You’ll oversee responsibilities including resident billing, collections, payroll administration, accounts payable, employee records, onboarding support, financial documentation, and daily office operations while maintaining a welcoming, professional, and resident-focused environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the center of an operation and can move confidently between financial responsibilities, employee support, resident and family communication, and day-to-day problem solving.
What You’ll Own
Financial & Business Office Operations
- Coordinate resident billing, collections, accounts payable, deposits, and general business office functions
- Maintain accurate resident census changes, including move-ins, move-outs, transfers, and level-of-care updates
- Process deposits and maintain complete supporting documentation
- Reconcile vendor accounts and assist with resolving account discrepancies
- Maintain accurate resident, vendor, financial, and operational records
- Support budget reviews, reporting processes, and other financial documentation
- Partner with corporate accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial processes
- Professionally assist residents and families with billing questions, account balances, and collections conversations
Payroll & Employee Administration
- Review employee timecards for accuracy and support payroll administration
- Maintain organized and confidential employee and personnel records
- Support new-hire paperwork, onboarding, benefits documentation, and employee administrative processes
- Partner with Human Resources and community leadership on employee documentation and business-office needs
- Support recruiting coordination and interview scheduling as needed
- Help ensure required employee records and documentation remain current and complete
Community Operations & Resident Support
- Serve as a trusted administrative partner to the Executive Director and department leaders
- Assist residents, families, employees, vendors, and visitors with questions and administrative needs
- Provide front-office coverage and support when needed
- Assist with community tours, resident interactions, and special events as appropriate
- Maintain office supplies and ensure the business office is organized and operationally ready
- Communicate effectively across departments to help keep community priorities moving
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive resident, employee, and business information
- Participate in the Manager on Duty rotation and support community operations or urgent needs as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll, bookkeeping, office management, accounting support, or business office operations required
- Experience with OneSite / RealPage required
- Senior living, healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, or another resident/customer-focused industry preferred
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable, billing, collections, reconciliations, and administrative coordination strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency and comfort working across multiple business systems
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite environment
