Appointment Setter
Location: Eastwood, Quezon City, office based
Employment type: Full time, permanent
Position Summary
The Appointment Setter is responsible for contacting and qualifying Australian mortgage and secured loan enquiries before scheduling appointments with the Manager or Back End team. The role involves collecting detailed information about each client’s financial circumstances and secured loan requirements, obtaining relevant supporting documents and preparing a complete client summary for further assessment. This is not a basic appointment setting position. The successful candidate must have experience in Australian mortgage or secured lending and be confident asking detailed financial and property related questions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Contact and Qualification
- Contact new clients promptly to understand their lending requirements and financial circumstances.
- Establish the purpose of the loan, required amount, preferred term and proposed repayment strategy.
- Ask detailed questions to determine whether the enquiry may be suitable for further assessment.
- Conduct an initial assessment of the client’s income, expenses, assets, liabilities and credit position.
- Collect information about the client’s employment, business operations and financial history where applicable.
- Clarify any missing, incomplete or inconsistent information with the client.
- Identify potential credit risks or matters requiring further investigation.
- Maintain professional and consistent communication throughout the qualification process.
Secured Loan Information
- Property address and ownership
- Property type and intended use
- Estimated property value
- Existing mortgage balance
- Current lender
- Available equity
- Proposed loan amount
- Loan purpose
- Preferred loan term
- Proposed repayment or exit strategy
- Existing caveats, charges or other encumbrances
Document Collection and Due Diligence
- Request and collect all relevant financial and supporting documents.
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy and consistency with the information provided by the client.
- Follow the required client qualification, credit assessment and due diligence checklist.
- Follow up with clients regarding outstanding information or documents.
- Ensure sufficient information has been collected before scheduling an appointment.
- Escalate any potential credit, compliance or documentation concerns to the Manager or Back End team.
Appointment Setting and Handover
- Schedule qualified clients for an appointment with the Manager or Back End team.
- Coordinate appointment times based on availability.
- Prepare a clear and detailed summary of the client’s circumstances and lending requirements.
- Provide the Manager or Back End team with the client summary, supporting documents and key matters requiring discussion before the appointment.
- Send appointment confirmations and reminders to clients.
- Monitor scheduled appointments and follow up on missed calls.
- Reschedule missed appointments promptly where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate appointment records and outcomes in the CRM.
CRM and Compliance
- Record complete and accurate client notes, financial information, secured loan details and contact activity in the CRM.
- Upload and correctly organise all supporting documents.
- Keep client records updated throughout the qualification and appointment setting process.
- Protect confidential client and business information.
- Comply with Australian privacy, credit and responsible lending requirements.
- Follow all internal policies, scripts, checklists and quality standards.
Role Requirements
- A minimum of two years of direct experience in Australian mortgage lending, secured lending, credit assessment or loan qualification.
- Previous experience in appointment setting, lead qualification, mortgage processing or credit assessment.
- Strong understanding of Australian mortgage and secured lending processes.
- Experience collecting detailed client, financial and property information.
- Ability to review financial documents, property information and existing loan commitments.
- Ability to follow a detailed credit assessment checklist and established due diligence process.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgement when identifying credit risks.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Confidence in asking clients detailed and sensitive financial questions.
- Strong client engagement, objection handling and appointment setting skills.
- Strong organisational and appointment management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and follow ups accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high pressure and deadline driven environment.
- Experience using CRM systems, mortgage platforms and lender portals.

- Working hours: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm PHT, Monday to Friday, aligned with AEST
- Work location: Eastwood, Quezon City office
- Work arrangement: Fully office based
