Frostburg State University (FSU), Athletics Department is accepting applications for two full-time exempt Assistant Athletic Trainer positions. Salary commensurate with skills and experience and include the robust University System of Maryland benefits package options. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
FSU boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference. Our well-equipped facilities include a new training clinic with the latest therapeutic equipment, such as an underwater treadmill.
Responsibilities: This position reports to the Head Athletic Trainer and under supervision of the Team Physician, oversees the medical care and rehabilitation of FSU student-athletes. Assist with administrative duties as assigned and provide supervision over Athletic Training room operations and services. May serve as a preceptor for athletic training students. May be required to periodically serve as an instructor depending on institutional needs and workload. Other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree, ability to obtain NATABOC certification and Maryland Athletic Training licensure as a condition of employment. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automatic External Defibrillator Certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and one year of related work experience. Experience with contact sports.
