Medical Records Executive to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient management of patient records. This role is critical to supporting clinicians and administrative staff by maintaining compliance with U.S. healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, update, and maintain patient medical records (electronic and paper).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state/federal privacy regulations.
  • Coordinate with psychiatrists, therapists, and administrative staff for timely record access.
  • Prepare documentation for audits, insurance claims, and internal reviews.
  • Support digitization initiatives and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient files.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in medical records or healthcare administration (psychiatric or outpatient preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and EHR/HIS systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
