Senior Finance Business Advisor - Business Banking Cost Stewardship & Planning
At ING, Finance is more than analyzing numbers. We influence strategic decisions, challenge business leaders and help shape the future of the bank. We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Advisor who will play a leading role in steering the total Business Banking cost base, including direct and allocated costs.
The team
You will join the Finance Business Advice (FBA) team of ING NL. This department is part of the CFO domain and consists of 55 finance professionals who advice the board and senior management of ING in the Netherlands.
Role and responsibilities
Effective cost management and forward-looking planning are critical to achieving sustainable growth. You will help management make informed decisions regarding strategic investments, resource allocation, cost optimization, capacity planning and financial prioritization.
Own and steer the total Business Banking cost base, driving cost awareness, financial discipline, and efficiency.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, translating strategy into robust and forward-looking financial plans.
Provide senior management with insightful financial analysis, independent challenge, and decision support on costs, investments, and resource allocation.
Drive forecast accuracy and performance steering through data-driven insights and scenario planning.
Identify optimisation opportunities and improve cost performance across the organisation.
Enhance transparency in management information and financial reporting.
Contribute to Finance transformation initiatives and continuously improve planning, forecasting, and cost management processes.
How to succeed
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
5-8 years of experience with Finance Business Advice, FP&A or Business Control.
Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
