Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Commercial Insights partner to Corporate Sales, providing strategic insights and recommendations to sales leaders and sellers.
- Build trusted relationships with Corporate Sales leadership and proactively identify opportunities where commercial intelligence can inform strategy.
- Participate in opportunity planning discussions and advise on insights, trends, and market intelligence relevant to partnership strategy.
- Analyze and interpret market, audience, sponsorship, category, and consumer data to identify commercially relevant trends and opportunities.
- Translate complex data and insights into actionable recommendations and compelling commercial narratives.
- Exercise independent judgment in determining which insights and market intelligence are most relevant to specific commercial opportunities.
- Help shape partnership positioning and commercial strategy before proposals and pitches are developed.
- Monitor marketplace, category, consumer, and sponsorship trends and proactively identify potential revenue opportunities.
- Partner with RP&A, Commercial Intelligence & Valuation, and Brand Strategy & Creative to develop integrated commercial insights and recommendations.
- Present findings, recommendations, and strategic points of view to Corporate Sales leaders and other internal stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
A commercially minded strategist who is naturally curious and proactive, comfortable partnering directly with senior sales leaders, and skilled at transforming data and market intelligence into actionable commercial recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years in sports marketing, sponsorship, commercial strategy, agency, market research or consumer insights.
- Strong executive presentation and storytelling skills.
- Commercial mindset with ability to connect insights to business outcomes.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; BI experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the multimedia rights landscape in collegiate athletics.
