The Opportunity

As a Legal Compliance Transformation Consultant - Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative legal solutions and advice to internal stakeholders and clients, focusing on maintaining compliance and minimizing legal risks. Within our Risk & Regulatory practice, you will utilize technology, process improvement, and data analysis to streamline legal processes, enhance client service, and drive value across various industries.

As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and maintaining standards, motivating and inspiring others to deliver quality. You will leverage team strengths and manage performance to meet client expectations, identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our Firm. You are expected to lead with integrity and authenticity, articulating our purpose and values meaningfully. Embracing technology and innovation, you will enhance your delivery and encourage others to do the same.

In this role at PwC, you will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion. You will address conflicts or issues, engaging in conversations with clients, team members, and stakeholders, while upholding professional and technical standards.

Responsibilities

- Leading legal compliance transformation initiatives to streamline processes and enhance client service
- Utilizing technology and process improvement methodologies to drive value in Office of General Counsel (OGC)
- Analyzing and identifying linkages within legal systems to optimize performance and minimize risks
- Taking ownership of project planning, budgeting, execution, and completion to meet client expectations
- Coaching and mentoring team members to develop skills and leverage strengths effectively
- Reviewing work to deepen team members' skills and encourage continuous improvement
- Addressing conflicts and engaging in difficult conversations with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to the firm's code of conduct
- Developing policies and guidelines to support legal compliance and contractual risk management
- Implementing strategic questioning and analytical thinking to identify opportunities for improvement

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics

- Managing regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, risk management, operations, or consulting activities within Energy & Utilities or similarly regulated environments
- Applying multiple regulatory frameworks, including FERC, NERC, state PUCs, ISO/RTOs, OSHA, EPA, and other federal and state requirements
- Designing, assessing, and transforming regulatory compliance programs, processes, and controls
- Documenting and improving workflows using process mapping and business process tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Bizagi, or Signavio
Conducting forensic investigations, internal audits, and root-cause analyses within regulated utility environments.
- Demonstrating proficiency in legal compliance and contract management
- Utilizing analytical thinking to enhance business performance management
- Excelling in coaching and feedback to develop team strengths
- Embracing change and innovation in regulatory environments
- Developing policies and guidelines for process improvement
- Engaging in strategic questioning to drive client solutions

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $232,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
