The Job: Want to be a part of a fun team that works closely with the community? If so, this might be the role for you! As the Development Assistant you will provide administrative support for the fundraising activities of the Development Department. This includes, but is not limited to, support with event planning and logistics, clerical tasks and general correspondence.

The Core Duties:
- Schedule and calendar meetings, send email reminders and agendas, order snacks, lunches and book rooms for meetings, photocopy, purchase supplies, file, etc.
- Support the Development Associate with logistics for fundraising activities and events, parlor meetings and other department programs (ex. Invitation, attendance tracking, nametags, catering, etc.)
- Liaise with accounting as it relates to tracking expenses, getting invoices paid on time, credit card reconciliation/receipt gathering for the department
- Support grants management process – including recordkeeping of grant materials in Salesforce and SharePoint as well as keeping current grant documents folder up to date.
- Provide support to Development Associates for donor stewardship projects (ex. birthday cards, flowers and Rosh Hashanah packages) and systems
- Serve as part of OFJCC Administrative Team cohort, responsible for shared participation in office management and OFJCC event duties
The Essentials:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 2-3 years of progressive administrative experience
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or comparable donor database/CRM system
- Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize a large and varied workload
- Be a team and collaborative team player and ability to interact with a broad spectrum of internal and external customers and business partners
- Mature judgment, diplomacy in handling sensitive and/or confidential matters
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate information clearly (written and oral)
- Commitment to continuous learning and personal growth, demonstrating a strong dedication to achieving excellence in your role through ongoing skill development, staying abreast of industry trends and acting with a high level of integrity
- Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employees
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed
