We are looking for a Software Test Automation Developer (m/f/x) to join our dedicated team and help develop best-in-class digital hunting and nature observation devices.
ZEISS Hunting & Nature is currently undergoing an exciting transformation process: in order to position ourselves more dynamically, customer-oriented and future-oriented, we are transferring the company from the ZEISS Group into an independent unit - VALYRA - with an investor. The new unit VALYRA exclusively develops and distributes the innovative optical products for hunters, birders and outdoor enthusiasts of the ZEISS brand. For you as a Senior Software Developer (m/f/x), this means the opportunity to actively shape our product portfolio in flat hierarchies and to develop innovative digital solutions for our customers.
Your Role
Responsibility for designing and implementing automated test software (e.g. WebApp, Embedded Systems/Linux/Azure-Cloud/AI)
Developing and maintaining test frameworks and infrastructures to enable test automation for re-use in multiple target projects
Making sure requirements and specifications are covered by automated test cases
Executing automated tests, monitoring test runs and analyzing the results. Keeping the automated tests up to date with software changes.
Development, expansion and automation of CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps
Being part of a scrum team consisting of internal and external members and communicating identified issues with the development team
Your Profile
A completed degree in computer science (or similar experience)
Ideally qualification as a ISTQB® FL/Test Automation Engineer
Several years of experience in (agile) software development (preferably for Embedded systems/Linux)
In-depth knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise
Experience in programming, preferably in scripting languages such as Python
Demonstrable experience in using test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Robot Framework or similar
Familiar with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes and their integration into the test cycle
Independent way of working and the motivation to proactively find solutions to challenges in test automation
Strong communication, cooperation and teamwork skills make you a real team player
Fluent in English, both spoken and written, German is a plus
