Description
Delivery Lead – Nandoca Digital Experiences
At Nando’s, we’re on a mission to Create Lasting Happiness for our people, our customers, and the communities we serve.
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, we’ve always believed our story starts with our people — our Nandocas. Everything we do is about helping them have fun, make money, and change lives.
The technology our people use should help them get on with what they do best. As our Delivery Lead for Nandoca Digital Experiences, you’ll bring teams together to deliver products that make everyday tasks easier and improve the experience of working at Nando’s.
It’s an opportunity to shape how we deliver, support talented teams, and see your work make a difference to thousands of colleagues.
Our Values
Our values shape how we work, how we lead, and how we look after each other:
- Pride – We’re proud of what we do, how we do it, and who we do it with.
- Passion – We put our heart and soul into it, every single day.
- Courage – We’re brave enough to be ourselves and bold enough to try new things.
- Integrity – We always do the right thing, even when no one’s watching.
- Family – We look out for one another because we’re all part of something bigger.
You’ll bring these values to life through the way you coach, challenge, celebrate progress, and support your teams when things get tough.
The Role
You’ll work across teams building digital experiences for our Nandocas, helping turn priorities into clear plans and meaningful outcomes.
Working closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders, you’ll create the conditions for successful delivery: shared goals, clear decisions, visible dependencies, and the confidence to raise challenges early.
You’ll help teams stay focused on the people using their products, balancing delivery momentum with quality and continuous improvement. You’ll also have the opportunity to influence how we work, introducing ideas and helping teams find approaches that suit their needs.
What You’ll Do
- Turn priorities into achievable plans. Work with teams and stakeholders to agree goals, sequence work, and build realistic delivery forecasts.
- Keep delivery moving. Remove blockers, coordinate dependencies, and manage risks across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Connect teams around shared outcomes. Build strong relationships across product, engineering, and the wider business, keeping the Nandoca experience at the centre of delivery.
- Coach and empower. Help teams strengthen their agile practices, take ownership, and build confidence in how they plan and deliver.
- Create clarity. Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs in a way that supports timely, informed decisions.
- Make every voice count. Build an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, challenging ideas, and learning from mistakes.
- Improve how work flows. Use delivery measures such as throughput and lead time to identify obstacles and guide practical improvements.
- Strengthen our delivery community. Share your experience, learn from fellow Delivery Leads, and help develop delivery practices across Nando’s.
What You’ll Bring
You enjoy bringing people together and helping them achieve something they couldn’t deliver alone. You can navigate competing priorities, have constructive conversations, and bring calm and direction when plans change.
You care about the experience of the people using your products and the people building them.
We’re looking for:
- 10+ years’ experience delivering digital products in agile environments, with a track record of helping teams achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Strong practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or Lean, including planning, forecasting, estimating, and reporting.
- Experience working across product, engineering, and business teams to deliver shared priorities.
- Proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders in agile ways of working.
- Confidence managing dependencies, surfacing delivery risks, and helping stakeholders make trade-offs.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- The judgement to adapt delivery practices to the team and challenge.
- An organised, dependable approach in fast-moving, time-sensitive environments.
A Few Extras That Would Be Great
- Experience delivering employee-facing digital products or internal business platforms.
- Scrum Master or equivalent certification.
- Experience coordinating delivery with multiple third-party partners.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Miro.
- Involvement in an agile or lean community.
What’s In It for You?
At Nando’s, you’ll join a community that celebrates individuality, supports growth, and gives you the opportunity to make your mark.
You can look forward to:
- Work that matters: Help improve the digital experiences thousands of Nandocas rely on.
- The opportunity to shape delivery: Bring ideas, challenge constructively, and help teams build on what works.
- Learning and progression: Develop your skills and shape your career with support along the way.
- A collaborative culture: Work with people who share knowledge, value different perspectives, and celebrate progress together.
- Space to be yourself: Bring your personality and ambition to a team where your voice matters.
