Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role:
Based in Austin, Texas, GlobalFoundries is seeking a driven intern to join the Investor Relations team and support strategic communication with the investor community. This project-based role offers hands-on experience in market intelligence, financial analysis, shareholder research, process improvement, and the evaluation of AI-enabled tools that may enhance Investor Relations activities.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively with the Investor Relations and Finance teams on project-based initiatives and provide regular progress updates to the manager.
- Conduct research and analysis on market trends, investor targets, shareholder activity, and potential AI tools that could enhance Investor Relations processes.
- Support financial analysis, Excel modeling, reporting, and presentation development used for investor communications and strategic planning.
- Deliver a formal end-of-project presentation to Finance leadership and internship program participants.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Strong analytical, research, Excel modeling, and presentation-development skills.
- Interest in financial markets, investor communications, market intelligence, shareholder analytics, or AI-enabled business processes.
