Production Planner - 6 month assignment

Phononic is looking for high energy, critical thinking, Excel guru with production planning experience to join our planning team. This person will be responsible for the daily and weekly execution plans for our vertically integrated semiconductor manufacturing operation in Durham, NC. Our manufacturing facility is a fast-paced, dynamic environment and requires an individual that thinks quickly on their feet and can embrace and facilitate change. This role is instrumental in keeping operations, engineering, R&D, and facilities aligned to the plans you provide in order to meet our customer orders on time.  This role is projected to last through March 2027.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Create detailed daily and weekly production plans in Excel for execution by vertically integrated factory producing semiconductor Thermoelectric Modules and Heat Pumps.

· Ability to manage frequent changes in plan and effectively, professionally communicate updated plans

· Able to navigate planning in allocation scenarios in which your factory must allocate to your customers and/or your suppliers have your raw materials on allocation.

· Drive and actively participate in daily production meetings

· Weekly reporting on factory schedule attainment and other key performance indicators such as on-time delivery

· Order acknowledgment of incoming customer orders. Evaluating inventory position, raw materials available, and upcoming build schedules to determine the best delivery date to the customer.

· Minimize risks of building obsolete inventory by coordinating with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to understand future product and engineering changes.

· Ensuring accuracy of inventories (raw material, WIP, and finished goods) through coordination with the inventory team.

· Frequent communication and coordination with engineering, factory supervisors, facilities, and supply chain

· Driving continuous improvement in planning tools, reporting, and processes.  Support systematizing planning tools.

· Planning support for 24/7 US and Thailand factories.

· Ability to work in a cleanroom environment as necessary.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, management information systems or related discipline or a minimum of 5 years’ experience with planning and inventory management. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels of an organization

· Strong analytical problem-solving ability

· Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute in cross-functional and collaborative teams

· MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) proficiency

· Strong Excel proficiency is mandatory; Access and SQL proficiency desired
