Role summary:Join Walmart as a Senior Data Analyst and leverage your expertise in data sourcing, quality management, and advanced analytics to deliver actionable business insights. This role requires a deep understanding of data ecosystems, visualization techniques, and statistical analysis to support strategic decision-making across multiple business domains. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, impactful recommendations, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Your proficiency in SQL, dashboard tools, and problem-solving will drive continuous improvement and innovation within a dynamic, data-driven environment.
About the team:
The MAP Measurement, Insights and Data Strategy (MINDS) team is part of the Sam’s Club Member & Insights Center of Excellence org that is dedicated to supporting the retail media MAP business unit. It is comprised of two key workstreams - Performance Measurement & Insights team and Media Science & Experimentation team. MAP MINDS plays a critical role in MAP’s accelerated growth by bringing the power of 1st party deterministic membership data and advanced data science and innovative measurement approaches together to offer trusted data and insights to MAP advertisers and MAP internal teams.
What you'll do:
- Identify and evaluate data sources aligned with business requirements and service level agreements to ensure data fitness for purpose.
- Perform initial data quality assessments and manage ongoing data cleansing activities to maintain high data standards.
- Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions using appropriate analytical methods and tools.
- Develop and deliver insightful visualizations and reports using tools such as Tableau and SQL to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business context and provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
- Support data governance by promoting data quality awareness and adherence to policies and standards.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience with SQL and data querying to extract and analyze complex datasets.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and dashboard creation to communicate insights effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of data quality management, including profiling, cleansing, and monitoring to ensure accuracy.
- Understanding of business domains and metrics to provide relevant recommendations and support strategic decisions.
- Ability to apply advanced analytical techniques and exploratory data analysis using statistical methods.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to align data initiatives with business objectives.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
