YOUR MISSION
- Creating a seasonal demand forecast for the region Europe, starting with the Line Freeze FC until a Demand FC needs to be provided for the European Supply Planning Team
- Continuous review of the demand forecast in close alignment with the counterparts from Merchandising and Sales
- Constant monitoring and adjustments during Sell-in and Pre-Order intake
- Converting seasonal demand forecast into a monthly demand forecast, needed for supply planning and eventually for local purchasing. Maintain 12–18 month rolling SKU- and category-level demand forecasts utilizing historical sales data, market intelligence, and seasonal curves
- Ensuring complete and correct master data for planning purposes, e.g. mapping of predecessor-successor styles
- Building and maintaining collaborative partnership and communicate effectively with internal colleagues
- Monitoring key metrics including Forecast Accuracy (FA), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), and Forecast Bias; implement corrective actions when variances occur
- Analysing historical forecast errors and commercial shift patterns to systematically refine statistical models. Strong ability to interpret large datasets, extract actionable insights, and build reliable predictive models.
- Driving innovation that improves processes, analytics, and data visibility. Consequently, driving better business decisions
- Preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management including recommendations based on data analysis
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
YOUR TALENT
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related quantitative field
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain analytics, or merchandise planning—preferably within sporting goods, apparel, footwear, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)
- System Knowledge: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power-BI. Experience with SAP S4 Hana and planning solutions such as Anaplan, O9 solutions, etc considered as a plus.
