1. Automation Engineering - 60%

Define and evolve automation architecture for policy, billing, and claims systems, including standards for UI/API/batch automation, test data, reporting, and suite scalability

Lead development of reusable insurance automation accelerators (rating validation harnesses, policy lifecycle orchestrators, billing ledger reconciliation libraries, claim payment validators)

Establish reliability and performance practices for large suites (parallel execution strategy, flake reduction program, runtime optimization, environment resiliency)

Provide technical leadership via design reviews, code reviews, and guidance on best practices while maintaining a high bar for maintainability and audit-ready evidence

Insurance Domain Validation

Own end-to-end validation strategy for complex cross-domain workflows (e.g., endorsement → repricing → invoicing → collections impacts; claim settlement → payment → accounting/document outputs)

Lead validation approach for regulatory and audit-sensitive scenarios (state variations, notices, effective date rules, rating traceability)

Establish traceability from business requirements → test coverage → release sign-off evidence in partnership with BAs/SMEs

Test Strategy & Execution

Define automation strategy for major releases and platform changes: coverage model, risk-based testing approach, regression gating, and quality KPIs

Create and maintain test effectiveness metrics (escaped defects, automation pass rate, flakiness rate, execution time, coverage by domain) and drive improvements

Lead SIT/UAT production validation planning for assigned programs, ensuring clear entry/exit criteria and actionable reporting for stakeholders

Data, Conversion & Integration Testing

Lead validation strategy for large-scale migrations/conversions (legacy → PAS), including reconciliation frameworks, tolerance rules, sampling methodology, and defect containment practices

Define integration test strategy across third-party vendors and internal services (contract testing, end-to-end orchestration validation, resiliency/failure-mode testing)

Partner with architecture/platform teams to ensure test environments and data pipelines support reliable continuous testing

API & Services Testing

Establish standards for API testing (contract tests, schema/versioning checks, security-related validations, performance smoke checks)

Drive alignment between service-level tests and UI workflows to reduce redundancy and improve defect localization

2. CI/CD & DevOps Integration - 30%

Own the approach for continuous testing in CI/CD: test selection strategy, quality gates, release dashboards, and pipeline reliability

Implement practices such as test impact analysis (where feasible), containerized execution, and automated reporting/alerting for failures

Defect Management & Collaboration

Lead cross-functional defect triage and quality risk discussions with engineering, product, and operations stakeholders

Ensure defects are documented with domain and technical depth (rating variables, ledger impacts, integration traces) and drive timely resolution

Mentor junior engineers on insurance domain testing, automation design, and troubleshooting techniques

3. Teamwork & Collaboration  - 10%

Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to meet client needs and contribute to achievement of internal team goals.
