AVP - Head of Actuarial Inforce Management
Main Purpose of the role :
Responsibilities Managing the Actuarial In-force Management team. Additional responsibilities involve actuarial special projects and analytics
Responsibilities :
Actuairal in-Force Management
• Lead on actuarial analysis of in-force management initiatives and campaigns to optimize value creation.
• In-force campaigns budget steering.
• Lead and manage persistency and retention analysis, propose persistency initiatives and campaigns.
• Support the health teams in the analysis and understanding of claims and customers behavior.
• Lead financial reinsurance initiatives for capital management and balance sheet optimization purposes.
Par Fund Management
• Oversee the annual participating bonus supportability studies and declaration and system UAT.
• Annual review of the sales illustration for on shelf participating products.
• Support Pricing teams as needed on participating products bonus setting.
• Oversee, review, enhance and maintain fair and effective Par bonus management practice and principles.
• Maintain and enhance the Principles and Practices of Financial Management of **Participating fund.
• Oversee the declaration of Universal Life crediting rate.
• Responsible for the governance of Par Steering Committee.
• Ensure procedures and processes are adequately documented.
Other Project
• Any other special project to be implemented by the company needing actuarial support and guidance.
Staff Supervision
• Supervise, delegate, coordinate and review the work of team members
Qualifications
• At least 8-10 years life insurance working experience
• Experience with Participating fund management
• Experience interacting with distribution and products teams and driving business initiatives.
• Good knowledge of Excel and Prophet (or similar) is required.
• A good command of English, since it is the office language.
• Preferably a Qualified actuary from a recognized international actuarial association.
