Certified Recovery Specialist Re-entry Coordinator

Full-time Certified Recovery Specialist position for the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission, based out of the Armstrong County Jail. This position is responsible for meeting with jail inmates on a one-on-one basis, providing recovery support and connecting to community resources upon release. Certified Recovery Specialists provide supportive services to enhance clients’ recovery, to include but not limited to services in the following areas: coordination of care; casework activities; and aftercare. Certified Recovery Specialists are responsible for ensuring outreach, mentoring, peer support and guidance, as well as resource information and referral, for clients in the target population. Certified Recovery Specialists work closely with program participants before, during and after their treatment experiences to support and assist them in their recovery, in understanding and navigating the system of care, as well as to encourage and guide any necessary connections with other service systems.  

Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, be in recovery from substance use disorder, and able to obtain CRS Certification within one year of hire.
