Description
As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests experience both comfort and adventure that is truly unmatched. You will be responsible for performing a variety of laundry cleaning tasks, maintaining an organized workflow, and collaborating with team members to provide a better user experience. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and sanitation policies, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a variety of laundry cleaning tasks, including washing, drying, and folding linens to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Routinely process laundry items, including sorting, loading, and unloading machines, and maintaining an organized workflow.
- Assist in performing housekeeping duties, such as cleaning laundry areas and maintaining equipment to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of laundry tasks.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace
REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
- Ability to prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also have the ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, and supervise and manage staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
