Candidates must have previous CT experience but are not required to hold CT certification at the time of hire. However, CT certification must be obtained within the first year of employment. Depending on departmental needs and qualifications, technologists may also provide coverage in MRI, Mammography, DEXA, and Fluoroscopy.

The position offers a full-time schedule, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to serve a close-knit community in northern Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders, established imaging protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Conduct computed tomography (CT) examinations, ensuring appropriate patient positioning, imaging techniques, and diagnostic image quality.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment, including general X-ray and CT systems.
- Provide coverage across additional imaging modalities, including MRI, Mammography, DEXA, and Fluoroscopy, based on training, qualifications, and departmental needs.
- Participate in cross-training opportunities to expand clinical competency across multiple imaging services.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain examinations, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Apply appropriate radiation protection practices, infection prevention protocols, and imaging safety procedures.
- Evaluate imaging results for technical quality and determine whether additional images are necessary.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate timely diagnostic services.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and examination details using the facility's electronic medical record system.
- Support imaging services across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings as needed.
- Participate in rotating weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage, maintaining the ability to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call.
- Assist with departmental quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and compliance with applicable imaging regulations.
- Adapt to changing patient volumes and imaging priorities while maintaining efficient operations within a Critical Access Hospital environment.
