Transformation lead

Your job 

As an Engineering and R&D Transformation Lead within our Supply Chain & Engineering practice, you will own and lead client engagements that help product companies reinvent their engineering and R&D functions. You will work across industries including Consumer Goods, Industrial Equipment, Automotive and Pharma & Life Sciences — acting as a trusted advisor to client leadership, defining their transformation roadmap and delivering tangible results. 

Examples of projects you can work on: 

• PLM transformation: assess a client's product lifecycle management maturity, define the future-state architecture and lead the implementation of PLM platforms (Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE) to improve product data management and engineering efficiency 

• R&D operating model design: help a manufacturer redesign their R&D organisation, processes and governance to reduce time-to-market and improve innovation portfolio management 

• Digital twin & simulation: support clients in building digital representations of their products or production systems to accelerate engineering decisions and reduce physical prototyping 

• BOM and product data management: define and implement end-to-end BOM structures, engineering change processes and configuration management frameworks 

• Engineering transformation: lead current-state and future-state analysis of engineering and product development processes, and guide the design and implementation of improved operating models 

 

In this role you will: 

• Own client engagements end-to-end — from diagnostic and solution design through to delivery and value realisation 

• Serve as a trusted advisor to client engineering and product leadership teams 

• Define functional solution designs that leverage PLM and digital engineering capabilities 

• Own requirements, process models and user stories across one or more engineering workstreams 

• Guide development of digital thread and PLM strategies and roadmaps 

• Facilitate and lead executive-level and working-level workshops to drive alignment and decision-making 

• Lead and mentor junior team members, providing functional guidance and career development support 

• Support proposal development and contribute to growing our Engineering offering in Belgium 

• Collaborate with Accenture's international Engineering network to bring the best expertise to Belgian clients

Your background 

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field 

• 5 to 10 years of experience combining industry roles in R&D or engineering functions with management consulting 

• Preferred industry experience in Consumer Goods, Industrial Equipment, Automotive or Pharma & Life Sciences 

• Solid understanding of product engineering processes: BOM management, engineering change, configuration management, lifecycle governance 

• Hands-on experience with PLM platforms (Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, SAP PLM) is a strong asset 

• Track record of owning and leading client-facing engagements and managing cross-functional teams 

• Ability to communicate complex engineering and PLM concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences 

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written 

• Fluent in French and/or Dutch, both spoken and written 

• Ability to travel to client sites; a valid driving licence is strongly recommended 

 

Nice to have 

• Familiarity with digital twin, digital thread concepts and their application in engineering transformation programmes 

• Exposure to AI or GenAI applications in engineering contexts — generative design, AI-assisted quality control, predictive engineering analytics 

• Prior experience in global systems integrator consulting environment
