Description

Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an AmFam office location.
Compensation Minimum: $25.00

As a PMO Department intern, you will support the Sales Performance, Insights & Operations team through projects and initiatives focused on sales, service, operational effectiveness, and business growth. You will assist with planning, coordination, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration while gaining exposure to key business operations and strategic priorities.
Primary Accountabilities
- Develop an understanding of our business, corporate culture and structure to support your work.
- Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
- Support project managers with planning, coordination, and execution of key business initiatives.
- Track project milestones, action items, risks, and dependencies to help keep projects on schedule.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document decisions, and follow up on action items.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and support project deliverables.
- Assist with process improvement efforts and the implementation of operational best practices.
- Prepare project status updates, presentations, and communications for stakeholders.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on sales, service, operational effectiveness, and business growth.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
- Major/program must align with internship role.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Collaboration and relationship-building across teams
- Problem-solving and critical thinking mindset
- Attention to detail and follow-through

At times, sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.
