Senior Cyber Security Manager

In this role, you will lead proactive, threat-informed assurance across an expansive digital ecosystem encompassing telecom infrastructure, hyper-scale cloud environments, digital payment platforms, and emerging artificial intelligence implementations. You will have a rare seat at the table, delivering high-impact, actionable insights directly to Executive Committees and Board Audit structures, directly influencing how the group defends its critical digital assets against sophisticated global threats.

• Strategic Cyber Assurance: Design and execute forward-looking, risk-based cyber security audit plans across regional operations, evaluating critical controls across cloud architectures, IAM, network security, and API ecosystems.
• Offensive Security & Threat Simulation: Direct adversary simulations, red-teaming exercises, and penetration testing assessments. Validate real-world exploitability and assess defensive capabilities against sophisticated threat actor profiles.
• AI & Emerging Technology Oversight: Pioneer assurance frameworks over emerging technologies, assessing risks related to artificial intelligence adoption, algorithmic integrity, data governance, and automated systems.
• FinTech & Platform Security: Provide robust technical assurance over digital banking, mobile money, messaging, and large-scale connectivity infrastructure, ensuring continuous regulatory compliance and customer trust.
• Executive Advisory: Translate highly complex technical vulnerabilities into clear, business-driven risk insights for Executive Management and Board-level committees.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, inspire, and elevate internal audit teams and technical specialists, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and accountability.

• 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Accounting/Finance.
• Master’s Degree, MBA, or relevant postgraduate qualification.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in IT audit, cyber security assurance, technical advisory, or risk consulting.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role, with a proven track record of managing technical projects and cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on understanding of offensive security methodologies, penetration testing frameworks, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
• Comprehensive grasp of enterprise security architectures across hybrid-cloud environments, APIs, and modern application stacks.
• Exceptional executive communication skills—capable of breaking down intricate technical exploits into actionable business decisions.
