EXECUTIVE, FINANCIAL REPORTING

GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

Supports financial monitoring, reporting, compliance and review activities across the Group. The role assists in preparing and analyzing financial information, monitoring submissions and follow-up actions, and supporting operational finance matters, process improvements and finance transformation initiatives under the guidance of the Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist in performing analysis for periodic management, committee, and Board-related reporting.

• Perform preliminary financial performance and monitor the submission of variance analysis and follow up with finance teams for explanations and supporting information.

• Maintain reporting schedules and trackers and follow up on outstanding submissions to support timely reporting.

• Assist in monitoring compliance with Group financial policies, SOPs, reporting requirements and key financial controls, and highlight exceptions for review.

• Track operational finance issues, audit or review findings and corrective actions, and escalate overdue or significant matters to the Manager.

• Assist in preparing information for financial submissions, disclosures, solvency reviews and external audit requirements.

• Work closely with finance teams within KPJ Group and other relevant functions to obtain information and support resolution of routine matters.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent.

• Professional accounting qualification or relevant certification (e.g ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.

• Financial & Accounting Knowledge: Good understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting processes.

• Governance & Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of financial controls, policies, SOPs, and compliance requirements.

• Monitoring & Follow-Up: Ability to manage deadlines, maintain trackers, follow up on outstanding matters, and escalate appropriately.

• Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with finance teams and other stakeholders.

• Integrity & Confidentiality: Demonstrate professionalism and handle financial information with appropriate confidentiality.
