Internship: Enterprise Architecture Data Quality– Science, Innovation & Labs
Are you a motivated student with a passion for data quality, business analysis, and digital transformation? Join the Business Platform Science, Innovation & Labs Enterprise Architecture team at dsm-firmenich for an internship where you will help improve the quality, accuracy, and governance of application portfolio information. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enterprise architecture, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making while working across a global business and technology landscape.
What You’ll Do
During your internship, you will investigate and analyze the architecture behind approximately 1,300 business applications using Ardoq. You will assess application ownership, business context, deployment models, infrastructure, and related data attributes, while identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and duplicate solutions. In addition, you will engage with application owners and business stakeholders, facilitate discussions, validate information, and translate findings into clear architectural insights that support governance and decision-making across the Science, Innovation & Labs organization.

\- Improved data quality, traceability, and governance, by identifying duplication and gaps, and providing a structured handover of insights and recommendations for future portfolio management.

What You Bring
\- Field of Study: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Business Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Digital Transformation, or a related field.
- Experience: No specialist enterprise architecture experience is required. Experience with structured data, Excel, data quality, application portfolios, research, or stakeholder interviews is an advantage.
\- Skills: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and confidence to ask critical questions. Excellent communication skills, professional persistence, and the ability to work independently while building productive stakeholder relationships.
Eligibility criteria and conditions:
- Language requirements: Fluent in English.
- Final Selection Day: 01.12.2026 in dsm-firmenich office in Maastricht.
- Start of the internship: 01.02.2027
- Duration: 4-5 months.
- Studies: currently enrolled at Maastricht University or Zuyd applied science university (hogeschool). Your university will cosign the internship agreement.
- Location: dsm-firmenich Maastricht office.
- Compensation: Internship salary is €550 per month.
