Sales Representative

Strong customer relationships and successful product introductions are key to growing our business. In this role as Sales Representative & Product Development at Enza Zaden, you will combine commercial responsibility with technical product development. You will help customers get the best results from our varieties while identifying new market opportunities. 

Make a difference as Sales Representative & Product Development 

As Sales Representative & Product Development, you will be responsible for maximising sales and profitability within your assigned customer portfolio. You will develop strong business relationships, provide reliable technical advice, and support the evaluation and successful introduction of new varieties. Reporting to the Sales Manager or Subsidiary Sales Manager, you will work closely with Product Management, Breeding, Marketing, Customer Service, and customers. In this role, your work will include: 

• Developing sales and expanding the market within your assigned customer portfolio; 

• Preparing budgets, forecasts, pricing proposals, and customer plans; 

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers; 

• Providing technical advice to support the successful cultivation of our varieties; 

• Identifying promising experimental varieties through local screening and contributing to variety decisions; 

• Planning and coordinating trials, including trial seed availability and product positioning; 

• Collecting market and customer information and monitoring trends, competitors, opportunities, and risks. 

What you bring as our future colleague 

You are commercially driven, customer-focused, and comfortable combining sales activities with technical product support. You communicate clearly, work well with colleagues across different functions, and use market knowledge and data to identify opportunities. You can work independently while keeping customers and internal stakeholders connected. In addition, you have: 

• A higher professional or bachelor's level of working and thinking; 

• An agricultural, agronomy, horticulture, or related background; 

• Between 1 and 10 years of relevant experience, depending on the level of the position; 

• A results-driven and sales-oriented approach; 

• Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills; 

• Willingness to travel frequently within the country.
