Overview
The person is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and PepsiCo policies. The role ensures the integrity of financial data through robust controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting support, and close collaboration with Corporate, Tax, Treasury, Audit, and cross-functional business teams.
This position plays a critical role in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles, providing insightful financial analysis, supporting external audits, driving continuous process improvements, and maintaining compliance with internal control and governance requirements. The role also acts as a subject matter expert for reporting activities and contributes to strategic finance initiatives through high-quality analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
- Perform balance sheet, intercompany, retained earnings, loan, and fixed asset reconciliations ensuring data integrity.
- Own and coordinate HFM submissions for Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Fixed Assets.
- Prepare monthly financial analysis including P&L variance reporting, change-on-change analysis, expense reviews, and management reporting.
- Manage intercompany cross-charging processes and related billing activities.
- Prepare monthly accruals and collaborate with budget owners to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support statutory financial statement preparation and coordinate external audit requirements.
- Manage tax reporting activities including deferred tax, FAS109, cash taxes, and related reporting in collaboration with Corporate Tax.
- Perform lease accounting and ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP requirements.
- Prepare operating cash flow forecasts and Balance Sheet Reviews for management.
- Support CECL calculations and other technical accounting requirements.
- Act as Control Owner for key financial reporting processes, ensuring SOX and internal control compliance, including key control testing.
- Identify reporting risks, accounting issues, and process improvement opportunities while driving automation and standardization initiatives.
- Analyze sales performance at SKU level, identifying pricing, volume, and mix variances to support business decision-making.
- Serve as the primary reporting contact for Corporate Finance, auditors, Treasury, Tax, and internal stakeholders.
- Support implementation of new reporting requirements, accounting policies, and system enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is considered a strong advantage.
- Up to 5 years of experience in Financial Reporting, Financial Control, Accounting, or Controlling within a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience supporting statutory audits and working with external auditors.
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and advanced Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
- Knowledge of intercompany accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting, tax reporting, and cash flow reporting.
- Experience with internal controls, SOX compliance, and governance processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in English.
