Overview
Our client is a well-established organisation operating large-scale, high-profile venues and facilities in Hong Kong. They are undertaking a multi-year infrastructure modernisation programme and are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to lead the planning, governance and delivery of enterprise network and infrastructure initiatives.
This is a highly visible role for a commercially minded network leader who can connect technology decisions with operational and business outcomes. You will work closely with senior management, business stakeholders, project teams, consultants, contractors and technology vendors in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Key Responsibilies
- Lead the strategic planning, governance and delivery of large-scale ICT network and infrastructure projects across a multi-site operational environment.
- Develop and drive a multi-year infrastructure refresh roadmap, ensuring network platforms remain scalable, secure, supportable and aligned with evolving business needs.
- Translate technical requirements, risks, investment proposals and architecture options into clear, persuasive, business-oriented papers for senior management and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead the assessment, planning and adoption of emerging technologies, including high-density Wi-Fi, hybrid and multi-cloud network connectivity, and Smart Campus-related solutions.
- Act as the primary liaison between infrastructure teams and business stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination, appropriate risk escalation and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Manage external vendors, consultants and contractors to ensure deliverables meet agreed technical, operational, security and service-quality standards.
- Oversee project planning, design review, implementation readiness and operational handover for network and infrastructure changes.
- Ensure resilience, availability, maintainability and cybersecurity considerations are embedded throughout infrastructure planning and delivery.
- Work closely with cybersecurity, applications, operations and project teams to manage infrastructure risks and ensure appropriate security controls are implemented.
- Support infrastructure governance, technical standards, lifecycle management, documentation, reporting and knowledge transfer.
- Lead and coordinate a blended team comprising project management, technical consultancy and outsourced network-operations resources.
Requirements
- Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Solid experience in enterprise network and infrastructure management within a sizeable, well-governed organisation--such as property, utilities, transport, hospitality, government—will be beneficial.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale ICT infrastructure projects, including network transformation, refresh, migration, rollout or major upgrade initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including switching, routing, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall technologies, network security and operational resilience.
- Knowledge of hybrid or multi-cloud networking, ideally involving Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud and/or AWS.
- Strong vendor, consultant and contractor management experience, including project governance, delivery monitoring, technical evaluation and risk management.
- Strong business and commercial awareness, with the ability to articulate technical proposals in terms of business value, operational impact, investment rationale and risk.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear proposals and management reports in English.
- Exposure to operational technology, ELV, CCTV, SCADA, smart-building systems, IoT or related network environments is advantageous, but not mandatory.
- Experience with Huawei networking technologies is a plus.
- CCNP certification is required; CCIE or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent English and Chinese communication skills, both spoken and written. Fluent in Mandarin speaking will be an advantage.
